Brown Butter Cookies with the Cook family of Something Sweet
Something Sweet was founded by the Cook family after the unexpected loss of their husband & dad, Dan, in 2021. The Cooks turned their pain into purpose.
Happy Tuesday and welcome to the last newsletter + podcast of 2024! I’m taking a break the next two weeks to rest, recharge, spend time with family, and work through my admin to-do list lol. I’m so excited.

This past week I was in Kansas City and stayed in the cutest mid-century modern home. I got some delicious BBQ and ordered a few too many coke + espresso + cherry cold foam bevs. Call me a dirty soda convert.
I’m the type of shopper that once I find something I like, I want to own it in every color. That item has recently been Gap sweaters. I got off my high horse of only wanting 100% cotton because tbh I had nothing left in my closet that I wanted to wear. Being comfortable in what I’m wearing ended up being more important than threads right now. Still eyeing Babaá and James Streets’ end of year sale.

I’m obsessed with this whole green gingham capsule collection. I can’t get it out of my mind!
Now that I have a bunch of sweater that I love, I’m on the hunt for pants. I saw someone wearing these on TikTok and I’ve quickly become obsessed.
I’m sure you don’t need another person recommending this blush to you but it is on the top of my makeup wishlist.
