Happy Tuesday! I spent the last week laying low, hanging out with family, and working on some really cool design projects. More to come there.
I was feeling very stuck in working from home the past few weeks and being away from home last week + working in a much more causal setting + giving myself flexible hours was lovely. It gave me a good reality check about how much I mould the rest of my life around work.
I was reminded of a few favorite home items, distance truly does make the heart grow fonder. Eucalypso + Miracle* bedding are oh so cozy. FD Market* makes delicious room sprays that the fam fell in love with. Snowville makes my favorite A2 half/half.

Today’s podcast guest is the CEO of a cult-classic cleaning brand, Aunt Fannie’s. I have raved about their sink cleaner to just about everyone I know, so it was full circle to hear more about the brand from an inside source.
Aside from our convo, I have 2 drink recipes to share that will surely carry you through the rest of Dry (or damp) January + all of my favorite goodies. Enjoy <3

Recipes

Dry January content continues! Hiyo makes one of my favorite RTD non-alcoholic alternatives on the market, so I was beyond pumped to develop this recipe for them. I’m always drawn to sours when they are on cocktail menu’s but rarely order them because most aren’t tart enough for me. This mocktail is tart and will actually make you feel something thanks to Hiyo’s adaptogens. Enjoy!
Peach Mango Sour Mocktail
Ingredients:
1 can of Hiyo Peach Mango
1 oz fresh lemon juice
1/2 oz maple syrup (adjust to taste)
1 egg white (or aquafaba for a vegan option)
Ice
Dehydrated mango slice and mint leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Combine the lemon juice, maple syrup, and egg white (or aquafaba) in a cocktail shaker.
Dry shake (without ice) for about 15 seconds to create foam.
Add ice and shake again until well-chilled.
Strain into a coupe or rocks glass.
Top with Hiyo Peach Mango, pouring slowly to let the foam rise.
Garnish with a dehydrated mango slice and mint sprig.
Video coming later this month!

We are at the peak of citrus season, a time of year that hates to see me coming. As you might’ve seen on IG, I got an espresso machine about a month ago and it has already paid for itself. I simply can’t bring myself to spend money at a coffee shop anymore. So I figured there was no better time to make this bev after I saw a bottle of tonic water + a bag of mandarins that needed used up in the fridge. This drink is bright, citrusy, and delicious. Aka exactly what you need to combat the January gloom (and -10 degree weather).
Mandarin Orange Espresso Tonic [post]
Ingredients
Ice
5 fl oz plain tonic water
Juice of 1 mandarin
1 double shot of espresso
Directions
Fill a glass with ice.
Add the tonic water and mandarin juice, stirring gently to combine.
Brew a double shot of espresso and let it cool slightly.
Pour the espresso over the tonic mixture. Stir well and serve immediately.
Weekly Favorites
I’ve been very big into hoodies this fall/winter and am always on the hunt for my next pickup. This one from FP seems like a solid choice based on color & fit.
These sneakers have had a chokehold on me for the past few months and I feel like they would be the perfect spring shoe. I love metallic accessories especially on shoes. Speaking of accessories, I have become recently obsessed with shoe charms.
I love anything Deji Studios does and these pants are no exception. Imagine these pants with the silver sneakers - SO good. I’m hoping this outfit is in my future. Speaking of pants, these yellow cords are such a fun transition piece.
I recently saw someone talking about Uniqulo’s HEATTECH line and I think this will be my next purchase. It’s currently 11 degrees in Columbus (2 degrees this morning) and none of my clothing is cutting it. I’m great at layering tops but I somehow always forget about layering pants.

No link for these items but Wes and I got some fun coffee accessories as gifts which have made all the difference. A knock box and silicone mat for the counter are truly going to make all the difference. Plus, my sweet friend made me a matcha bowl for Christmas and it’s more perfect than I can even imagine.
Last fav is this new vintage leather purse with the coolest velvet fabric panel on the front. Shoutout Ohio thrift stores. No pic, sorry <3
