This zesty lime jalapeño granita is cool, spicy, and the ultimate refreshing treat on a hot day
Lime Jalapeño Granita

Ingredients
1 cup water
1 jalapeño pepper, thinly sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
Juice and zest of 1 lime
2 tablespoons agave nectar or honey (adjust to taste)
Pinch of sea salt
Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Pairs great with: Watermelon Lime Hiyo
Instructions
Make Jalapeño Syrup Base:
In a small saucepan, combine sliced jalapeño, agave nectar (or honey), and 2 tablespoons of the water.
Bring to a gentle simmer, stirring until the sweetener dissolves.
Remove from heat and let steep for 10–15 minutes.
Strain to remove jalapeño slices and let the syrup cool.
Mix Granita Base:
In a bowl or measuring cup, mix the remaining water with the cooled jalapeño syrup, lime juice and zest, and a pinch of sea salt.
Freeze the Granita:
Pour the mixture into a shallow freezer-safe dish.
Freeze for 30 minutes, then scrape with a fork to break up the ice.
Repeat the scraping process every 30 minutes for 2–3 hours, until light and fluffy.
Serve:
Spoon the granita into small bowls or glasses.
Garnish with fresh mint, if desired.
Serve immediately with a chilled can of Hiyo Watermelon Lime on the side.
