A Better Kind of Oat Milk with Christina Dorr Drake of Willa's
Christina Dorr Drake is the CEO and co-founder of Willa's Organic Oat Milk, which is leading meaningful change—nutritiously, deliciously, and for the good of the planet.
Happy Tuesday and happy Thanksgiving eve eve!
I’m hosting again this year and feel like I have my go-to’s fully figured out. I tend to switch up the protein every year because truth be told, I’m not a turkey fan. I remember my grandma used to bake it all through the night and I would romanticize that routine in my mind. When I actually think about doing that myself, I realize how little energy I have for that. So this year I decided to do a whole roast chicken…which is basically the same process, so I guess ignore what I just said LOL.
Other than that I’m making the usual heavy hitters:
Brothy green beans — these are SO easy and yield so much flavor. You cook bacon, remove it from the pan, caramelize onions in the bacon grease, add back in the bacon + 2 cans of green beans + 2 containers of bone broth, and let it simmer till you’re ready to enjoy!
Carmen In The Garden’s Pumpkin Pie with a pretzel crust + salted caramel topping — I’ve made this a few times and it’s actually incredible.
Pull apart rolls — I’m following Sally’s recipe this year for ease but I’ve previously made Justine Doiron’s, both are fab.
Bink makes my favorite water bottle ever (as most of you know I talked about wanting it for far too long) and now they released a bigger version of it, so naturally I will be buying it + it’s on sale right now!
What are you making this year, I’d love to know!

Christina Dorr Drake is the CEO and co-founder of Willa's Organic Oat Milk, which is leading meaningful change—nutritiously, deliciously, and for the good of the planet.
A seasoned marketing strategist, Christina left her career to join forces with her sister Elena and husband Russell, inspired by their grandmother Willa's original oat milk recipe, crafted with real, whole-food ingredients.
Willa’s is the only oat milk made with organic ingredients and the whole oat—never just oat sugar. That makes it richer, lower in sugar, and higher in protein and fiber. No part of the oat is wasted, making Willa’s a food waste and climate change fighting champion.
Christina’s journey as a breast cancer survivor reinforced Willa’s commitment to wholesome, organic ingredients. During her treatment, she ate mostly plant-based and exercised regularly. In 2020, she was declared cancer-free, bringing renewed purpose to Willa’s aim to have a net positive impact on the health of people and the planet.
