Smoked Orange Negroni
This bold and smoky twist on a classic Negroni uses Curious Elixirs No. 1 as the base, deepened by caramelized cara cara orange and aromatic smoked thyme for a rich, complex flavor.
Smoked Orange Negroni

Ingredients:
4 oz Curious Elixirs No. 1
1 cara cara orange (for charring and garnish)
Ice
1 sprig thyme (for smoking)
1 sprig rosemary (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Light a sprig of thyme with a kitchen torch or over an open flame until it begins to smolder. Place it on a heatproof surface and immediately cover it with an upside-down rocks glass to trap the smoke while you prepare the rest of the drink.
Slice a blood orange into rounds and place them on a hot skillet or over an open flame until they develop a deep caramelized char. Let cool slightly.
In a mixing glass filled with ice, add Curious Elixirs No. 1, and a squeeze of juice from a charred blood orange slice. Stir until well chilled.
Turn the smoked glass right side up, allowing the smoky aroma to escape, then fill it with a large ice cube. Strain the Negroni into the glass.
Float a charred blood orange slice on top and optionally add a sprig of rosemary for an aromatic touch.
Sip and savor the layers of smoke, citrus, and bitter complexity.
