Summertime Supper
fancy fruit, so much mint, olive lovers unite!, salmon skewers, Kindle obsession
Happy Tuesday! In a little over a week I’m heading to Seattle to witness two of my best friends get married!! I could not be more excited if I tried. We’ll be out there for 10 days and the only thing more exciting than this wedding, is taking a break. I’ve been moving at full steam ahead this year and haven’t taken a moments pause. I’m looking forward to the creative reset and all the inspiration that will come from a bit of time away!
That being said, if you have any Seattle recs - let a gal know :) It’s been a year or so since I’ve been back. Trip recap will come later this month!

& I finally snagged a Kindle and wow is it life changing!! I could care less about scrolling on my phone anymore. If you want to be friends on Fable, here ya go :)
This week’s podcast, recipe & other goodies below 🍊

Nikki Seaman, Founder of Freestyle Snacks
Freestyle is a woman-founded snack brand on a mission to reinvent savory snacking. Founded by Nikki Seaman, the company transforms premium olives and pickles into convenient, mess-free snacks with bold flavors and modern packaging designed for life on the go.
What began as a better way to enjoy olives has evolved into a rapidly growing CPG brand that’s challenging expectations around an overlooked grocery category. By combining high-quality ingredients with thoughtful design and convenience, Freestyle is making healthy, craveable snacking easier than ever.
what we chat about:
Freestyle transformed olives from a niche pantry staple into a convenient, modern snack by focusing on packaging, portability, and branding.
Growing a food brand in retail requires educating consumers and creating a product that stands out in a category people think they already know.
Reinventing an overlooked category isn’t about changing the product itself—it’s about changing how and when people enjoy it.

I shared a sneak peak of this recipe with you last week, so it was only right to share the full recipe this week! These skewers are so incredibly easy and great for anyone who may have a bit of grill-anxiety. Load these up with all different kinds of seasonal veggies. Swap out the type of olive oil and vinegar in the yogurt sauce. Use various fresh toppings…and you’ve got a recipe that you can play with all summer long!

I saw my fellow Ohio gal craftycarms wear this tee on her IG stories and I’m obsessed. I feel like I need to start a craft club and get everyone matching tees as a uniform!!
I love a cute lil short and this pair from J.Crew is too perfect! TBH the yellow pair would look so good with the aforementioned tee.
Speaking of the color yellow, I am declaring this summer a flip flop summer!! & these butter yellow flip flops from Archies are at the top of my list.
I received a box of apriums from Family Tree Farms for a project I’ve been working on and I have been ankle deep in fruit since. Apriums are a incredibly delicious cross between apricots and plums — what’s not to love. I’ve shared boxes with friends and neighbors, plus cut a bunch to freeze.
I just finished Part of Your World by Abby Jimenez last night and wow, I couldn’t get enough of the story!! I’m starting the second book in the series today, Yours Truly. I somehow read these books out of order and have already finished Just For The Summer (the 3rd book). Might be by favorite Abby Jimenez series/universe so far!
