Am I A True Foodie Now That I Own Sabre?
Favorite meal of the weekend, first Sabre purchase, East Fork pickups, summer snacks for your next dinner party, Algae oil, and summer mocktails
Happy Tuesday! I had such a fun weekend in Cincinnati visiting my bff and had probably one of the best meals in recent memory. We’ve been trying to find a time to go to Abigail Street and it finally happened. Everything was delicious but what really stood out to me were the —
Roasted Beets w/ Lebna: local beets, whipped lebna, toasted hazelnuts, baby kale, brown butter lemon vinaigrette
Merguez Stuffed Dates: bacon wrapped merguez stuffed dates, tomato, saffron & marcona almonds
You know it’s an incredible meal when not a single photo was taken. I can’t wait to go back for those items + the hummus.

I made 3 very fun purchases this weekend. I went to the East Fork Pottery pop up and snagged a plate, pasta bowl, and breakfast bowl for myself + two bowls for my mom. A baby blue Sabre butter knife was purchased alongside Algae cooking oil. Two items that I’ve been dying to add to my kitchen. I found both at the boutique Continuum.

Our new couch got delivered which means that all of our big projects are done at the house! Now we just need to find some more art for the walls.
This week’s podcast guest is a bit different than usual. I often chat with brand founders and creatives but this week we’re going on a educational journey about the financial side of the CPG world. I certainly learned a lot and I think you will to.

If you’re looking for a refreshing summer treat that has a bit of a kick to it, this granita is totally it. It is so easy to make that you’ll be trying all sorts of flavor combinations by the end of summer.
I love a outdoor dinner party and IMO these would be the perfect hors d'oeuvres to start your guests with. It’s salty, fruity, tangy, and a really fun way to start the night.

The brand that makes my favorite pants also makes this gorg Forager Coat. I’ve seen it a few times in other colors but this is the first time in this deep wine color. Adding this to my fall wardrobe imminently.
J.Crew has really been popping off recently. I have my eyes on these blue linen pants and this classic striped crewneck. If I lived by the beach, I could see both of these items being staples in my closet.
I can’t stop staring at these shoes. I probably got introduced to them via a IG ad…per usual but I’m obsessed. I’ve been looking for a mary jane style sneaker that isn’t overly cheesy for awhile now and these Puma’s fit the bill. Who knew.
Heyday Canning Co. reached out a few weeks back asking if they could send me their new Perfectly Seasoned beans after I covered them on Wholesome Goods. Holy sh*t are they delicious. I’ve always loved beans but something about the chickpeas is even better than any batch I’ve cooked. I can’t recommend them enough.
I bought these vegetable cutters that are traditionally used in Bento boxes for a project where I was making cashew parm pickles. Now I want to cut every vegetable into fun little flowers. IDK maybe we should be bringing a bit more whimsy back into the kitchen.
If I’m making a na beverage at home I’m really only reaching for a few specific items. I’ve largely stopped drinking due to some ongoing health issues and honestly, I don’t miss it one bit. Except when a crisp glass of lambrusco is offered. My favs-
Ghia Lime & Salt cans — I claim the title of an OG fan of this specific flavor. The bottle shop I frequent carries these, which has doubled my intake
Ghia Apéritif — I’m a fan of both flavors equally, so this combo pack is a great option for the newbies or recurring fans like myself
Woody’s Blanc de Blanc — I’ve worked with them a few times which led to the initial introduction but they’ve remained a staple in my fridge after the fact
Figlia Sole — An absolute staple for summer over some sparkling water with a citrus garnish and some fresh mint
